Audra Plageman is Managing Director of the Newport Beach Family Office Association, an organization that provides information, opportunities and investment resources to substantial families, individuals and the top advisors who serve them in the Newport Beach area.
Ms. Plageman, a serial entrepreneur, has spearheaded several successful entrepreneurial ventures, by demonstrating the ability to manage complex projects, from initial conception to successful implementation.
During her career, she has initiated and completed transactions in both national and international markets. Her background and experience include mergers and acquisitions, build-up acquisitions, and joint equity ventures with corporate partners across a wide range of industries and sectors.
Beginning in 2007, Ms. Plageman became a consultant in the renewable energy industry. She established and maintained long-standing strategic partnerships with companies that finance and develop commercial and utility-scale renewable energy projects around the world. She was an active partner with a company that specializes in energy efficiency reporting software using internationally recognized methodologies for verification of emission credits for carbon trading. She initiated the trading of renewable energy credits (REC’s), in the PJM, WREGIS, and MISO wholesale markets, including OTC Spot Market brokerage services for clients looking to secure verified emission reductions (VER’s) in the global OTC markets.
Ms. Plageman’s dedication and passion for accelerated growth in the renewable energy sector, inspired her to expand her reach into many sectors of the alternative and energy efficiency markets including co-founding a company in 2012 that engages in the development and management of environmental assets by bringing relationships, expertise and track record to create professional and achievable partnerships.
Currently, Ms. Plageman’s role is Business Development for one of the nation’s top providers of accounting, tax, and advisory services, CBIZ, Inc. She specializes in national client development, relationship management, and strategic direction with a primary focus on Federal, State and Local Energy Tax Incentives, EPAct 179D, R&D Tax Credits and Engineering-Based Cost Segregation studies for real estate solutions.
Ms. Plageman is also an active volunteer in her community to grass-roots charities and non-profit organizations with a primary focus on environment and women and children’s welfare.
